Griffin is fostered in Omaha, NE. Memphis has a sad story to tell with a happy ending and new beginning. Memphis was an owner surrender to a very high kill shelter in Tennessee. Once they found out he wasn't perfect anymore, he has an eye issue and is probably blind in one eye, they no longer wanted him. The shelter they dumped him at is so overcrowded that most dogs don't even make it into the real shelter. They are put 'up on the hill'. Kept outside in dirty overcrowded conditions. Due to the overcrowded conditions he only had a matter of days to be rescued and virtually no chance at being seen by potential adopters or being adopted. Lucky for him there are boxer angels out there. His angels worked like crazy to find him a rescue and arrange transport for him. A temporary foster home in Illinois offered to take him in until a foster home could be arranged with NPBR. Memphis is one special boy! Word is so far that he gets along great with other dogs. We will be finding out more about him as he settles into his foster home. We will also be getting his eye looked to see if there's anything we can do to help him.
