Hi! I am Mercedes, who is a 2 yr old white, deaf female. Don't feel sorry for me, I enjoy life to the fullest and alls I know is that they say I am "special". My story is somewhat sad...my owners loved me when they got me as a puppy, but as I grew and they didn't understand the extra things they needed to do for deaf kids, so they chained me up outside. A boxer angel got ahold of animal control and well, the rest you know, here I am in rescue. My foster family has experience with deaf dogs, so I am learning lots of neat things. I have another boxer to show me the ropes of the house and am proud to say I haven't had one accident. For my safety, I best be adopted out to a family with a fenced yard. If you have children, be sure that they understand that when I sleep or resting, that I don't hear them approach, so I may get startled. Check back later for updates on me!
