Update from Steffi's foster home: Steffi completed her treatment for heartworms this spring. She shows no symptoms now and never really did. She loves dogs!!! but she can be dominant, if growled at she will growl back. She currently lives with 2 cats and was intrigued at first but now they are good friends. She loves kids and tries hard to mind her manners and not jump or get too excited. She does need a fenced yard to help her wear off energy and to help her learn her boundaries. Like any boxer, she isn't well suited for apartment living due to her energy level and will need a good exercise plan in any home. She is still learning about toys but loves to run and play. She is also silly in that she sleeps upside down, on top of others (human or fur). She also licks the air and flips her tongue every which way when she's relaxed. She's entertaining and lovable and will be a great addition to any family! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi! I'm Steffi who is an approximate 4 yr old, reverse brindle female who is heartworm positive. I was picked up as a stray along with my girlfriend who went to another rescue. As you can see my smile, I am very excited to be in my awesome foster home where I will get the love, care I deserve. I need to put on a few pounds and be treated for those nasty heartworms, spayed and then I am ready to move on to a family who will care or me.
