Zuri is fostered in Hawarden, IA. Update from my foster family: Zuri is great. She is fine with all dogs and wants to play with them all. She is shy around fawns but is ok once she sees that they want to play too. She has not been around cats, ect, but I think she might be too much for them. Not mean, just too much. She hears some, but is mostly deaf, so a fence is a must. This does not slow her down one bit. What she can't hear, she feels and senses. You CANNOT sneak up on or startle this little spitfire. Zuri has not been around young kids except at meet and greets, but would be fine. Zuri loves everyone. No apartment for Zuri. She is too active and needs a yard to burn some energy. Zuri doesn't mind her crate but will bark and howl when she feels its been long enough. Zuri is a busy gal. She does not stop from the time she wakes up til the time she is put to bed...gotta go, gotta go. Zuri will cuddle for a couple minutes, then something catches her attention and she's off again. But she loves being petted Besides being deaf, Zuri is in perfect health. She plays with anyone, anytime. She has no fear. Zuri loves toys, balls, or just an empty (or in some cases full) pop bottle. Zuri wants fun and is fun. It shows on her face,when she smiles, everyone smiles! Zuri would not do well alone. Besides being deaf, she just needs a buddy to play with. An experienced active family would be great. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Zuri here! I'm a cute little 8 month old boxer mix girl. I am deaf so I'm looking for a special family with a fenced yard and if there are kids, they need to be well behaved. Do you have time to work on training me?
